Madison Heights Celebrates Diverse Culinary Scene with First-Ever Restaurant Week!

The city of Madison Heights, renowned as a hub for international cuisine, made a significant stride in promoting its vibrant dining scene by hosting its first-ever Restaurant Week! This exciting event, which ran from Sunday, September 20th through Saturday, September 26th (in 2020), aimed to showcase the city's diverse culinary offerings and support local establishments.

Ricky Dong, the late owner of 168 Asian Mart and Fuji Buffet in Madison Heights, emphasized the city's unique position, stating, "What most people don't realize is that Madison Heights is the most global dining town in Oakland County."

Many participating restaurants, including the 168 Group's very own Lao Pot, as well as other local favorites like Cadillac Straights Brewing Company, Ima Madison Heights, Shawarma Castle, and Woodpile BBQ Shack, offered special dine-in and carryout options to accommodate guests. This initiative not only highlighted the exceptional array of international flavors available in Madison Heights but also provided a boost to businesses during a unique dining landscape.

This inaugural Restaurant Week was a testament to Madison Heights' commitment to its diverse community and its thriving restaurant industry.
